Q : How were you feeling when you first started looking for your wedding dress?
A: I was so excited and nervous. I honestly had not given weddings dresses a thought before getting engaged. I had no idea what I wanted but after looking at Verita's Instagram page I could not wait to go try dresses on.
Q : What made your experience at Verita special?
A: The unique dresses! I felt like they weren't the typical styles you find most places and they matched my style perfectly. Jessica also made the experience special and relaxing. She is so down to earth and knew exactly what I was looking for. I went to the accessory sale and with my mom to get her dress (which was a show stopper!). She remembered us both times and knew which dress I chose just by seeing my face. You can tell she truly loves what she does and is great at it
Q : Describe the moment you found your dress, was it what you envisioned or were you surprised?
A: I was surprised and so happy! I had actually found the dress on the Instagram page and saw it as soon as I walked in the door. I never thought I would actually love the "first" dress I saw. I feel like they always say you will go try on dresses and get the complete opposite of what you had in mind. For me that was not the case! I felt like the dress was made for me.
Q : Where did your wedding take place and what was your aesthetic?
A: Our ceremony was held at the church I grew up in, Providence Methodist Church. The reception was outside at my aunt and uncle's house surrounded by trees. The reception was decorated with lots of greenery, lights and unique vintage furniture I found.
Q: What was your favorite part of your wedding?
A: It is so hard to choose. I would say finally getting to see Camlin! I was so excited for him to see my dress and finally be married! We were originally supposed to get married March 28th so I was so ready to be married. I also did a first look with my dad and brother. My family is very close so it was very special to get that private moment with them.
Q: What advice would you give to future brides?
A: One. Do not sweat the small stuff! I know everyone says it but it is so true. Don't let little details worry you and just enjoy your day. It will fly by! And second would be if you can I would really try to hire a videographer. I can't even count how many times I've already watched our video. I love knowing years from now we can "relive" our special day again and again.
