BRIDAL APPOINTMENT TIPS

TIP #1 SET A BUDGET

It is so important to set a budget before going shopping for your wedding dress. This small step will make your experience much more enjoyable, knowing that every dress you try on could be yours!

TIP #2 SHOP 9-12 MONTHS AHEAD OF TIME

Most bridal experts recommend shopping 9-12 months ahead of your wedding date. You want to give your dress plenty of time to arrive, get alterations and make any last minute tweaks. Most brides are afraid to commit too early because they want to lose weight before the big day. If this is the case for you, I promise you will not regret shopping in advance because if you do lose weight, you now have enough time to have your dress taken in. It's truly a win-win!

TIP #3 BRING THE RIGHT UNDERGARMENTS

Once you book your bridal appointment and the day is here, don't forget to bring the same style undergarments you will be wearing on your big day. Most dresses have built in bras, but just in case they don't, it's good to come prepared!

TIP #4 CHOOSE YOUR TRIBE WISELY

When you imagine finding your wedding dress, who HAS to be there to make the moment perfect? Is it your mom, best friend or favorite co-worker? It's important you choose people for yourself. If you enjoy being the center of attention and don't mind many opinions, then the more the merrier! If you do not do well under pressure and get overwhelmed when you shop, I suggest bringing a smaller group. The key with this task is to focus on the quality of the people, over the quantity.

TIP #5 HAVE AN OPEN MIND

When you first start shopping for your dress it's good to have a vision, but be sure to keep an open mind as well! Try on all different silhouettes and styles so when you find your dream dress, you have no doubt that it is the one for you!

TIP #6 PULL THE TRIGGER WHEN YOU FIND THE DRESS

Never be afraid to say yes to the dress if you believe it's the one! Whether it was the first dress you tried on or the last, it doesn't matter. Many brides get scared to pull the trigger, but when you do it's a weight off your shoulders and another check box completed! Be excited you found your dress and now you can plan accordingly!
